I have a grey/yellow PS1 Namco stick that has a super loose center, and I'd like to fix it.
I have opened it countless times to fix sticky buttons or try to fix the sticks loose center.
I've tried a new spring (didn't seem to help, might be the wrong spring? I put the original back in after no change), and I've tried lubing up the sticks actuator, but nothing helped.
Right now when I use it, it works fine, but the stick doesn't return to center very quickly, and feels very loose until I hit a direction. Almost like the middle is completely without resistence until I get father away from the center.
I don't want to lose my old buddy, I played on him so much I wore away the paint and it rusted over and I had to repaint the control panel. I don't want to put another stick in because I don't want to mod the box/don't have the money.
Any help would be much appreciated!
