making something wireless wired?

I know there're a lot of people with electronics know-how here, so i thought i'd beg for help. I wanna convert the rock band wireless guitar into a wired one for the sake of not having to deal with batteries. I know usb can supply power, but do wireless boards typically have the other logic connections in spots easy enough to eyeball and bridge with the other end of a wireless transmitter? Even if I could bridge the usb power from the receiver dongle to the guitar itself and keep the wireless signal i wouldn't mind just to not have to deal with batteries. Is it as simple as taking the power wire from the dongle and connecting it to one of the battery terminals on the back? is there some sort of resistance involved? Can i bridge the two ends of the wireless boards via however they communicate instead of trying to find the usb equivalents in the guitar itself? I can take pics if that'll help. Thanks in advance :)

edit: here's a pic of the guitar pcb taken from the fcc's site. the 3 colored wires in the lower right corner come from the battery pack (it has an on/off toggle), and the blue pcb portion is the same as the pcb in the usb dongle.
