Hi, I'm new to Shoryuken! I wish my first post was in better circumstances!
So, I recently got this Namco PlayStation Joystick NPC-102. Tested it after I got it in the mail, and it worked fine. Then I did what I normally do with used video game stuff and cleaned it. I mainly used Dawn dish soap and a little bit of water on damp towels, but I also used some 50% isopropyl alcohol in small spots. I think I accidentally caused a short inside the plug end when I was cleaning the cable. This short only affects the Square button. I'm not sure if any water ran into the Square button itself.
Is there anything that I can do to repair this issue? Where do I start? I lightly washed my customized SEGA Genesis Arcadian joystick the same way and that has no issues whatsoever, so I'm baffled that this Namco arcade stick is so sensitive. Thank you for any help.
