New Arcade Stick Troubles

I'm fairly new to fighting games, but I've always wanted to get really good at them. So I decided to buy a cheep arcade stick to try and test out the waters.

The Mayflash Arcade Stick is pretty nice for it's cheep price however I'm running into some troubles when I try to use it on my PC. The stick itself comes with some drivers that let one easily Macro the buttons on the arcade stick and the directions on the joystick to keys on a keyboard. However when I try to use these macros they only simulate a button press and not actually holding down the button itself. For example, I can map the arcade stick so that if I move the joystick to the right to be the same as pressing the right arrow key on the keyboard. However if I hold right on the joystick, nothing happens. It's the same as just tapping the right arrow key once. The same thing happens with the buttons too. In essence I don't know what I can do to make the arcade stick simulate the action of holding a button down or holding a joystick in one direction or another.

Does anyone know of a fix or mod that can help me?
