As suggested by Kyle, this seems to come up a lot and it would be nice to have a thread that is the place to look when it comes to acquiring arcade sticks in Canada, which is getting more an more difficult. I am also focusing on the high end sticks put out by Hori and Mad Catz.
PM me if you have places to add! I'm trying to keep this restricted to online sales, if you find one locally feel free to post a reply for other locals. I'll try to keep the 1st post updated to the latest info.
1. Where can I buy sticks in Canada?
Hori's are currently easier to find than TEs in Canada, and the prices are fairly reasonable. Amazon.ca carries most of these. You can get free shipping within Canada on any of the sticks from amazon.ca.
TEs/SEs are getting really hard to find in Canada. Amazon.ca appears to have stopped supporting MadCatz sticks. Luckily Amazon.com (not .ca) has recently started shipping sticks to Canada! Also the Canadian dollar is about equal. Unfortunately they only have one shipping option, which is about $25 and you'll probably pay about a $15 import Fee, so you're looking at about $40 over the list price. The good news is that you don't have to pay GST/PST.
Also the people behind the Canada Cup Tournament have set up a store to get TEs to Canadians. Canada Joysticks also has some sticks and parts. Support these guys!
2. What are the current deals for sticks?
3. Where can I buy modding parts in Canada?
Inside Canada
Canadian Joysticks - http://www.canadianjoysticks.com/
Playdium - https://www.theplaydiumstore.com/c-2-parts.aspx?id=3
Outside of Canada
The following part vendors ship to Canada. I've ordered from all of them with no issues. Shipping tends to take a while to get across the border. Lizardlick has the cheapest shipping to Canada that I've come across.
lizardlick.com (Sticks, buttons, pcbs) - Lizard Lick Amusements
akihabarashop.jp (Sticks, buttons, pcbs) - AkihabaraShop.jp
Art's Hobbies (Plexi, cases) - Welcome to Art's Hobbies
