So I'm a Street Fighter 4 player (play a little bit of tekken and mortal kombat every now and then, but want to play in tournaments in SF4) and I've put about 70+hours into SSF4AE and have decided I want to get a little more serious and invest in an arcade stick! Yay for me... but I have a dilemma... the price in Australia is astronomical. So I almost have to resort to buying online, unless anyone can tell me any retailers that sell them (EB Games, JB Hi-Fi or Harvey Norman etc.). I mean, you see in the Tech Talk FAQ that sticks come in 3 price ranges, 50,100,150+. But the cheapest I can find is $250!
Now to be honest, I've been talking to a high level pro player and he just said, invest in a good quality stick, something from Madcatz or Hori and something with a square-gate because you'll just get used to it. We decided I should get something similar to the Mad Catz Arcade Fightstick Pro and that sounded like a great idea. So I'm happy to pay a good chunk of money but $250 is pretty exorbitant. So does anyone know any good ebay sellers or other places I can buy a good stick? Gameshark only sell inside continental USA. The other option I have is getting a friend in the US to buy it and then post it to me and I'll refund them the money and postage, but it just seems like such a hassle! What do other Aus players do to get their sticks and parts?
Thankyou
